I've personally found the Boise to be excellent for this OP, and see no reason that the NDJ or the Helena couldn't do well too (though the Helena lacks the Boise's outstanding Heal). Now, it seems like its squishiness is no longer offset by its AA, and while its RoF is nice, it doesn't have the punch of other CL's. They can farm excellent damage in that situation.Īs for the Atlanta, it used to be a great ship to bring due to its AA back when the OP had operational enemy carriers. Yes, a secondary build Gneisenau or Scharnhorst is outstanding in this OP because of the multiship brawl in the inner harbor. If you get a skilled driver they are an asset but I see too many on my DD skill level. Outside of Dynamo I'm not a great fan of DD's in operations. I've used the New Orleans, Helena, Fiji, Yorck & Algerie with 5 stars victories and in the top 3 of the team score. Not having a Shchors, I'll take the OP word. I agree with the comment about the Atlanta. I have not used any other BB in this operation. The Colorado depends on how good the driver is. I find the Gneisenau & Scharnhorst with secondary builds to be great for this operation. With random teams one must be ready to change plans if losses occur.īB's need to stay close to the convey, not go south to sink the transports, in order to sink the Missouri ASAP. I would add 5 stars is great & obtainable but a win with less than 5 star is far better than a loss. 150HP/pop is meager if one of the BBs citadels you. Bots have mercy issues.ĬRs should try not to draw too much attention. Use HE on their sides or 2 torps to smash them. The red transports have basically DD-thin armor. I just died to a beached red Schors now in my Gneisenau. Better DPS than spamming HE and praying for fires.īots aren't afraid to torp you if within range. the red BBs (who have a habit of using AP well when you're not paying attention)īig-gun cruisers should aim AP into the red CLs' noses and BB sides. Atlanta and Schors take some practice as they're very fragile vs. I've found Myoko (and ARP), Gneisenau w/ secondary build, New Orleans, Leningrad, and Nelson seem to be pretty good. Secondary-build Gneisenau/scharnhorst seem the best ships here for tanking. Final wave brings 6 ships, including an ATL and Schors.ħ) Defeating them all requires focusfire, lots of it. 2nd wave is NY, Bretagne, Omaha, and Farraut. They will park at 4 locations and several waves of reds to defeat. ![]() Be aware of the fort (if ignored) and Nicholas that will use all 4 of its torp tubes, as well as smoke the red transports (1 star for destroying all 5)ĥ) Same time as #4, the CR designated should head to E part of map (just N of the dead-east island) and take down the Lex and Phoenix (1 star)Ħ) Rest continue w/ the transports to SE. Kill the DD, then whoever most annoys you.Ĥ) Several more cruisers, including a Dallas, precede the MO and the fort at southernmost will activate-cue for the CR or DD to head south right away and get the transports. Any cruisers, use hydro, the transports will dodge early-detected torps.Ģ) BBs and any CR within range should go AP and hit the fort dead aheadģ) An Iron Duke comes from SE and a few more cruisers plus a farragut. Several forts, 3 BBs (including an MO), Lot of cruisers, and a few DDs (main priorityġ) Bap the first group on your right. ![]() When this heal-transport reaches its stop, it'll double its healing power. Second Objective: Stay with the 18-knot Liberty ships.
